Over the first weekend of December, Mackinac Island residents and tourists gathered around the tree in the center of town singing Christmas carols and huddled together keeping warm. 9&10 News even made the tree lighting and interviewed our very own Andrew Doud, watch here!
Following the tree lighting ceremony people swarmed into the Mustang Lounge and newly renovated Huron Street Pub for dinner. Also, The Christmas Bazaar hosted a pig roast dinner benefiting the Mackinac island churches and medical center.
Saturday was a busy and fun-filled day at the community hall! We enjoyed delicious food, purchased Christmas goodies from the bake sale table and the gift tables. There was a silent and live auction which is always a hit! Bynoe’s hockey was fun entertainment downtown Saturday afternoon and Sunday the highlight for the kids was a visit from Santa!!
A few shops were open for all the extra guests in town and our local coffee shop, Luckybean was open too! Doud’s Market is a big supporter. We are thrilled to help out on this wonderful island event.
Our next 20% off sale day is Sunday, December 22! We make our Christmas sale extra special! We hope you can make it! Don’t forget to shop our website for your favorite Doud’s goods. Our gift baskets have been a hit this holiday season! Gift Cards are also available for purchase. Shop Here!
