When getting groceries to Mackinac Island, a truck is loaded with supplies. The truck drives to the Arnold Freight Ferry Dock in Saint Ignace to await a ferry ride across the Straits of Mackinac. Over the first weekend of December, Mackinac Island residents and tourists gathered around the tree in the center of town singing Christmas carols and huddled together keeping warm. 9&10 News even made the tree lighting and interviewed our very own Andrew Doud, watch here! Following the tree lighting ceremony people swarmed into the Mustang Lounge and newly renovated Huron Street Pub for dinner.
